Good afternoon!
We were so amazed by the turnout for our first Back to School BBQ! Despite the weather and location change we still had over 400 families attend the event! I think we have established a new tradition!
Early Release Wednesday
Wednesday, September 28th is an early release for staff PD. Students are dismissed at 11:35.
ALICE update
This week we will be rolling out ALICE videos and holding our own evacuation drill. The district will be conducting drills throughout the year at each school so this will be a good practice for our students. We will practice walking to our rally point which is within the confines of the school neighborhood away from the building. All homerooms will watch the video with their teachers through my morning message where I will introduce the video and walk students through it. We refer to it as “Stranger Danger” and what we need to if Stranger Danger came to school. Our counselors, Mrs. McClendon and Ms. Sullivan will also be available to support students.

Tilton Gear
Our first store through American Outfitters is now open! Orders are due by October 16th and items will be delivered by October 31st. A portion of the sales comes back to the schools. Check out the link here: https://ttigers22.itemorder.com/shop/home/
I have a second store opening through Rocky Coast that will offer short and long sleeve shirts (in pink, aqua, safety green, tie dye), sweatshirts, and hats. There is a minimum school order of 72 items (combo of shirts and sweatshirts) and 12 hats before items will ship. A portion of the sales also comes back to the school. As soon as that store is active, I will send the link out. I anticipate it being available later this week.

PTO
Our first PTO meeting is Tuesday, 9/27 @ 6:00. This meeting will be virtual. We will try a mix of in person and virtual meetings throughout the year. Link will be sent out on Tuesday afternoon.
Absences/changes to dismissal plans
Please make sure to call the main office when your child will be out and/or when making changes to their dismissal plans. We appreciate that families let teachers know via email or remind app, but sometimes due to their busy mornings, they are not able to communicate to the main office before our alert calls go out.
