A MESSAGE FROM MR. CONANT

Good afternoon, Tilton Families!

We had another great week of learning and fun at Tilton, highlighted by our Grillin' For Great Minds BBQ. Thank you to all the families who attended and made the event a huge success! A special shoutout goes to our Title 1 Office, Food Services, and amazing staff for making it all possible.

This Wednesday, September 30, 2026, is an early release day for students.  Dismissal will be at 11:35 AM, and students will have the opportunity to pick up a bag lunch from the cafeteria before leaving the school building.

September is National School Attendance Month. As we transition into October, maintaining strong attendance habits remains critical for your child's success. Showing up to school every day, on time, supports your child in several key ways:

  • Prevents Learning Gaps: Our curriculum is built in a step-by-step manner. Missing just one or two days can create gaps in foundational reading, math, and phonics skills.
  • Builds Connections and Confidence: Daily attendance helps children navigate friendships, collaborate in groups, and feel secure in their school routines.
  • Fosters Long-Term Success: Establishing strong attendance habits in elementary school builds accountability, responsibility, and perseverance that carry into middle school, high school, and beyond.

Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting your child’s learning and growth!

A Message From Our Counseling Team

We are excited to introduce MindUP for Life in our elementary classrooms this year! Our school counselors will visit classrooms to teach engaging, age-appropriate lessons that support students’ social and emotional growth.

Through MindUP, students will learn simple strategies to help them understand their emotions, manage stress, focus their attention, and make thoughtful choices. Lessons will also encourage kindness, empathy, gratitude, and positive relationships.

Students will practice skills such as mindful breathing, identifying feelings, calming their bodies and minds, and pausing before reacting. These are tools students can use at school, at home, and in their everyday lives.

We encourage you to ask your child about what they are learning during MindUP lessons and to practice some of these strategies together at home.

We look forward to partnering with you to help our students grow into confident, caring, and resilient learners. If you have any questions about MindUP for Life, please feel free to contact your child’s school counselor.
