Weekly Update 6/6

Good afternoon! Can you believe we are heading into our final full week of school?! Students finished up their iReady reading assessment last week and will now take their iReady Math. We have already seen tremendous growth from fall to winter and we are trending the same from winter to spring! Keep up the great work Tigers!

PTO Update

We are looking for new parents to take over the PTO. We are having an orientation meeting virtually Thursday June 9th @ 6:00 to explain what the PTO does, our hopes as we move into next year, and answer any questions. We are extremely grateful to Tricia Harrington who has been on our PTO for the past 6 years and has been running the “show” for the past 3 years. Between organizing fundraisers and Tigermania, putting together fun and amazing Staff Appreciation Weeks, providing resources to grade levels and classrooms, she has been a ROCKSTAR. I know she will assist a new team as we transition. Please consider joining us on June 9th to learn more about how you can help.

Tigermania was a HUGE success! I think our turnout was even better than we have had in years past! We are grateful to Premier Martial Arts, Haverhill Public Library, Haverhill Police and Fire Departments, the YMCA, our many staff who joined in the fun and of course our amazing TIlton Community for making it such a fun night. We cannot wait for next year!

Summer Reading

Please check out the district site about the summer reading program (link is also on our school website). We are encouraging all students in Pre K-2 to read/be read to at least 5 books over the summer and keep track on a tracking sheet. Students in Grades 3-8 are encouraged to read at least 3 books over the summer and track on the tracking sheet. When we return in September, teachers will collect the tracking sheets and we will celebrate the summer reading with a special treat and celebration.
