Good afternoon families!

Hope you are enjoying some rainy day activities today. A few reminders and updates for you today.

  • No School tomorrow as it is Primary Election Day. We will see everyone on Wednesday, including our Kindergarten students!
  • Fall Fundraiser: We are trying out a new fall fundraiser. Rebecca’s Nut Free Cookie Dough. Ordering is open thru October 7th. We will have a pickup date shortly before Halloween. Click the link for more. https://tilton.rebeccasnutfree.com/. Hard copy order forms will also come home this week.
  • Spirit Wear: We are currently working on getting our vendors to open up our store fronts once again. My goal is by mid-September to have the links active for purchase. Stay tuned!
  • Device insurance is available for your child’s chromebook. This year we are not collecting money at the schools. You can sign up online, or mail in the form we sent home. Please do not return the form to school.   • School start and end times:
    • Tilton Upper School begins at 8:30; students can come as early as 8:05; Dismissal is at 2:45
    • Tilton Lower School begins at 9:00; students can come in at 8:45; Dismissal is at 3:15
  • Breakfast and lunch are free for all students. To help the lunch line move faster, students are given a card with their name and/or ID number and give it to our lunch staff who then mark who has taken a lunch. The purpose of this is account for lunches and breakfasts for reimbursement from the state.
  • Lower School families:
    • A reminder that our morning drop and pick up lines do move quickly when we follow the guidelines we have in place. Please refrain from parking across the street to drop off or pick up. Walkers are those students who will be walking home, not to a car across the street. All walkers who need to cross the street should use the crosswalk.
    • All dogs should be on a leash and remain on the main sidewalk. Please do not bring your dog into the school yards or walkways that lead to the building. You will be asked to move to the sidewalk.

Over the next few weeks, we will be working with students to practice for fire drills and for Stranger Danger (ALICE) drills. This will entail us letting students know we are practicing leaving the building or what to do if we cannot leave the building so they know where to go during each drill or what to do in a real life situation. The district will be conducting ALICE drills later this fall. As we get closer, more information will go home to families before and after.
