Hello families! Happy August!! To our returning families Welcome Back and to our new families, on behalf of the staff at Tilton, we are excited to welcome you to our Tilton community!
My name is Erin Mackay, principal of Tilton Elementary. Lindsey Chastney is our Assistant Principal. We do our best to keep an open door to all of our families. If you have any questions or concerns along the way, please never hesitate to reach out.
This year marks the first time in 4 years that Tilton returns to one school community. Our building now serves students in grades K-4!
Our custodians have been hard at work all summer getting the building ready to welcome our students and staff back into the building. We expect a new sign out front in the next few weeks and work is being done on the sidewalks outside our school. So much to be excited about!
Below is some quick information addressing some of the most pressing questions I know families have. As the summer continues, I will send out other updates and reminders, including drop off and pick up procedures.
Open House
We will be hosting an Open House on Monday August 28th from 4:00-5:30. You will be able to meet your child’s teacher and see their classroom!
Supply Lists
Essential school supplies are budgeted for and purchased by the school so the following supplies are appreciated but not required for each student. A suggested school supply list by grade level is being provided to assist your family as we know students love to pick out their own special items.
Kindergarten Screenings
All incoming Kindergarten students participate in Kindergarten Screenings. These take place on August 29, 30, and 31st. They last approximately 30 min. We will begin calling to schedule your screening appointment in the next week or so.
Now that August is upon us, my weekend communications will resume. It may not be weekly just yet, but we will be certain to communicate information for the upcoming year through email and on our school website. Be sure to check the website regularly! https://tilton.haverhill-ps.org/
