Good afternoon families! We hope you are out enjoying the long weekend. As a reminder there is no school tomorrow, Monday October 9th.
Discovery Club
Students who were accepted into Discovery Club will begin on Tuesday, October 10th. Morning Discovery starts at 7:45. Afternoon Discovery ends at 5:15. If you are dismissing early, you can pick up students on the Hancock St. side at Door #4.
Lost and Found
We have a growing pile of sweatshirts and coats that we would love to reunite with students. Ms. Chastney and Ms. Sullivan show off the lost and found each day during lunch so encourage your child to be on the lookout for any missing items. We strongly encourage you to write your child’s name and room number on any tags inside that will help us quickly reunite items with their owners.
Picture Day
Picture Day is Scheduled for this Wednesday, October 11th. Make Ups will be held on November 21st. Tilton Elementary School_ Email Blast – Fall Picture Day Pre(1) (2).jpg
Fall Fundraiser/PTO Update
We are ready to kick off our Fall Fundraiser! We have once again partnered with Rebecca’s Nut Free Cookie Dough. If you attended our open house, there is a chance you sampled one of the many options available!
Forms have gone home. There is also an online form available as well! https://tilton-pto-rnf.square.site/
Families can reach out to Shannon Berthiaume through the PTO email. It is listed on the forms and online. TiltonPTO@yahoo.com
PTO helps offset field trip bussing costs, has provided each child with a reusable water bottle, and helped provide flowers, mulch, and soil to ensure the front of our school looks beautiful. Other ideas we are hoping to fundraise for are recess materials both large and small.
We are looking to add to our PTO membership to help brainstorm other ideas for fundraisers, supports for the school and students, and ways to engage more families. Join us for our first PTO meeting on October 12th @ 6:00 virtually. A link will be coming the day before.
Trunk or Treat
Save the Date! We will hold our 3rd annual Trunk or Treat on Wednesday October 18th from 4:30-5:30. Flyers have gone home. Please be sure to RSVP so that we can plan accordingly!
Santa Parade
Tilton will once again march in the Haverhill Santa Parade which will be held on Sunday, November 19th @ 1:00. This year’s theme is Candyland Christmas. We will welcome any donations of small candies such as lollipops, tootsie rolls, smarties, taffy (nothing that can melt) as we plan ahead for the Santa Parade. We like to ensure we have enough candy to carry us through the entire route as many of our families are at the end of the route. As we get closer we will send out permission slips to march. We also welcome any wagons that we can borrow to help us pull the candy!
Device insurance info
All students in HPS receive a chromebook and a charger. We strongly recommend all families sign up for device insurance to cover any loss or damage. You can sign up here. The deadline has been extended to December 1st.

Should you not opt in for insurance, you will be accountable for any damage or loss
Students should bring their chromebook to school each day, fully charged. We are seeing a number of students not bringing them in. We have very few devices to loan students.
Spirit Wear
Our order from American Outfitters should be coming this week. As soon as it is in, we will distribute it to students. We will open the store again in the winter!
