Good afternoon families! Finally a weekend without the rain! Hope you are enjoying this gorgeous day.
Birthdays
We love when families want classmates to share in the excitement of their child’s birthday, however, due to the District Health and Wellness policy, we cannot allow food to be brought in for students due to allergies. If you would like to send in things, we encourage pencils, erasers, etc
Title 1 Parent Compact
Since we are a Title 1 district, we are required to send home our Parent Compact for Parents, Students, Teachers, and Administrators to sign. This is an informal agreement between each of us as to how we will support student learning. Hard copies will be coming home later this week for you and your child to sign and return. Copies can be found on our website as well as linked in below

Drop off and Pick up reminders
Another reminder that there is no parking in the parking lot or across the street to drop off or pick up students as this narrows the street and clogs up the flow of traffic. We have so many families following our expectations who wait patiently in line each and every day. If your child is a car pick up you should be in the car pick up line. No one should be walking to a car if they are a walker. Dismissal takes only 15 min from the start of dismissal at 3:13 until the last student is placed in a car. No one should be cutting ahead in the line.
Fall Fundraiser/PTO Update
We are ready to kick off our Fall Fundraiser! We have once again partnered with Rebecca’s Nut Free Cookie Dough. If you attended our open house, there is a chance you sampled one of the many options available! https://tilton-pto-rnf.square.site/
Families can reach out to Shannon Berthiaume through the PTO email. TiltonPTO@yahoo.com
If buying items from the fundraiser isn’t your thing, there are options to make a donation to the PTO.
Check out our notes from our recent PTO meeting! PTO notes
Trunk or Treat
Save the Date! We will hold our 3rd annual Trunk or Treat on Wednesday October 18th from 4:30-5:30. Flyers have gone home. Please be sure to RSVP so that we can plan accordingly!
Santa Parade
Tilton will once again march in the Haverhill Santa Parade which will be held on Sunday, November 19th @ 1:00. This year’s theme is Candyland Christmas. We will welcome any donations of small candies such as lollipops, tootsie rolls, smarties, taffy (nothing that can melt) as we plan ahead for the Santa Parade. We like to ensure we have enough candy to carry us through the entire route as many of our families are at the end of the route. As we get closer we will send out permission slips to march. We also welcome any wagons that we can borrow to help us pull the candy!
Device insurance info
All students in HPS receive a chromebook and a charger. We strongly recommend all families sign up for device insurance to cover any loss or damage. You can sign up here. The deadline has been extended to December 1st.
Should you not opt in for insurance, you will be accountable for any damage or loss
Students should bring their chromebook to school each day, fully charged. We are seeing a number of students not bringing them in. We have very few devices to loan students.
