Good afternoon families!
This month I will highlight our ESPs. Our ESPs go above and beyond each and every day to help our students whether it be in small group settings, greeting them while they are on duty, or when they take on the role of a teacher during an absence. This week I would like to spotlight the following:
Darcy Young is a Special Education ESP working with second graders this year. She has previously worked as a K ESP. Darcy also works with our students before and after school as part of the Discovery Club. She is an active member of the school community, participating in many family events
Angela Stiles is one of our Kindergarten ESPs. She works to build strong relationships with the students and families not just in the K classroom she works in, but with the others as well. She works with the classroom teacher to create fun and engaging activities for students to do throughout the day. She often stays beyond the end of the school day to ensure all students get home safely.
Jake Weisberg is our Technology ESP. He helps students with learning apps and learn about internet safety. He also helps in our Library reshelving books, checking out chromebooks or working to repair them alongside our Library Media Specialist. He also engages with students and families at car drop off each day.
Christina Bellia is one of our Kindergarten ESPs. She also works with students after school in Discovery Club. She works with the classroom teacher to ensure all of the students’ needs are met. You can often see her taking friends for walking breaks or pulling small groups to work on skills. You wil always find her with a smile on her face. She also works to assist some of our Portuguese speaking students as well.
Checking in at the office
Please make sure if you need to drop something off or see the school nurse that you first check in at the main office. You will sign in and be given a visitor badge to wear while you are in the building. Families should not be going up or down stairs, unless you are here for an event in a different location. On those occasions, you will sign in and out on a specific sign in sheet and be directed to that location.
Attendance
If your child is absent please call the school as soon as possible to report the absence. This should be done in addition to notifying the teacher via REMIND app. If your child has been out ill and seen by a health care provider, please send a note to the school- these absences will be excused. Please make sure that the school has all updated phone numbers.

Notes from the Health Office
Just a friendly reminder….If your child is prone to accidents at school, please send in a dry set of clothes to keep at school. Also, if your child has been sent home in dry clothes that came from the Health Office, please wash and return pants/shirts only. We have a limited supply of clothes.
Thank you!

Santa Parade
Tilton will once again march in the Haverhill Santa Parade which will be held next Sunday, November 19th. If you are interested in walking with us, please return the form to your child’s teacher that went home last week- siblings are welcome to walk as well. We will meet at 11:45 at the Wood School. This year’s theme is Candyland Christmas. We are still looking for any donations of small candies such as lollipops, tootsie rolls, smarties, taffy (nothing that can melt) as we plan ahead for the Santa Parade. We like to ensure we have enough candy to carry us through the entire route as many of our families are at the end of the route. We also welcome any wagons that we can borrow to help us pull the candy!
Device insurance info
All students in HPS receive a chromebook and a charger. We strongly recommend all families sign up for device insurance to cover any loss or damage. You can sign up here. The deadline has been extended to December 1st.
Should you not opt in for insurance, you will be accountable for any damage or loss. Students should bring their chromebook to school each day, fully charged. We are seeing a number of students not bringing them in. We have very few devices to loan students.
